I decided to call my blog Song Lines because I was looking for something ridiculously optimistic. You can learn more about song lines here.

I'm not singing anything into being (except for this blog) but I am going to Thailand. My adventure will start in a fishing village called Ban Phe in October. This seems like a long way off, as I gather all of my paperwork and schedule all my shots.

I want to take lots of pictures in Thailand, so I'm making a test post from Flickr. I chose this picture because the boat and I are in a similar situation: safe on dry land, waiting to get out into the world and do something.
